Millions of women wear trousers to their work every morning all over the world. Seldom has anybody given a thought how women trousers also known as wearing pants evolved. They have an interesting history that dates back to the World Wars and feminism advent of late 20th century. The ancient Amazonian paintings though depicted women wearing pants and carrying a shield with an attached patterned quiver but the trend was not practiced in Amazonian society. These paintings are placed in British Museum. Weather east or west, women were always associated with dresses like gowns, skirts and other women skirt like garments, seldom did anybody think that women may also wear pants some day.
