During the late 19th century however, western women clothing included trousers and blouses as they started working for various industries. Apparently the disastrous World War I and II broke all prevailing code of conducts in the world. Women, who weren’t allowed to work until before the World War I, were out on streets to support their forlorn families as the War devastated their society. The pants were preferred also because the garment served clothing needs of man, woman and others in the family, buying a pant was a better option for poverty stricken families rather than buying skirts that only woman could wear. Precisely speaking, the pants they wore at that time cannot be called women trousers because the sartorial was not yet tailored; they were the men pants instead. Women wore their husbands' trousers while they took on the jobs.

As the popular passage of title IX of education was amended in United State 1972, males and females were treated as equals in educational arena and then the women trousers came into existence in true sense. The dress code in the schools and colleges changed and girls wore pants as a comfort in winters.
