Apparently, at the end of 2011 the contribution of Indian cinema can be called massive in giving a new definition to the way country dresses-up. Reportedly the annual film output of Bollywood ranks first, followed by other established film industries in world. Though the journey from Anarkali in Mughal-e-azam to anarkali in Rockstar have seen various stages of women apparel in Indian cinema and Indian society no doubt.
Filmy fans in India live in awe of their favorite stars and happily follow their style, fashion and manner. As such, if the country can be called fashionable or presentable, Indian film industry should be credited for it. For had not Hindi cinema given us characters like Archana (Babita), Bobby (Rekha) and Jyoti (Rekha) Indian women would not have been so presentable.
